The focus of the creation narrative is not when, but Who. God is the focus, His eternality and sovereignty. Creation is a theological issue, not a scientific issue. It is an issue of Scriptural authority, veracity and fidelity. It is the first test of faith. While that which is once created can be examined and explored by science, it cannot be explained by science.
