WE HAVE COME TO WORSHIP HIM

This familiar Christmas story of the Magi’s visit from Matthew’s Gospel has given rise to many fanciful and mythical legends, most of which are not supported by the biblical text or ancient history. So through the avenue of a first person sermon, we will gain a better understanding of Matthew’s primary intent — to let us know that Jesus is not only the Rightful King of the Jews from the royal line of David, but that He is also the Recognized King of the World, attested to by the greatest Gentile King-Makers of their day, the Magi.
